Svetlana’s new paper characterizing a zebrafish knock-in model with the Timothy syndrome mutation is available. Based on the previously reported sensitiviy of the Cav1.2 channel to temperature, this paper raises the intriguing possibility that fever might be a modifiable risk for patients with Timothy syndrome.
