Burgess Lab Neural Circuits and Behavior

Nina Kirby graduated from The George Washington University (GWU) in 2025 with her B.S. in cognitive neuroscience. At GWU she was a member of the Polter lab where they investigated early life stress and adversity and its impacts on the developing serotonergic circuitry in mice. Nina joined the Burgess lab at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development in 2025. In the future she will apply to graduate school to purse a PhD in neuroscience and hopes to research the pathology of psychiatric disorders, specifically schizophrenia
